Fire in Banani High-Rise Brought Under Control

A fire broke out on the top floor of an 11-storey building in Banani, Dhaka. Seven units of the Fire Service brought the blaze under control by 8:15 PM. The cause and damage details are yet to be confirmed.
A fire broke out on the top floor of an 11-storey building in the Banani area of the capital. The blaze was brought under control promptly by the Fire Service and Civil Defence. According to officials, the fire was fully contained at around 8:15 PM on Wednesday.
A message from the Fire Service media wing stated that the fire originated at approximately 6:30 PM. Upon receiving the report, firefighters rushed to the scene and immediately began efforts to extinguish the flames.
The building is located at House No. 44 on Road No. 12, adjacent to the Banani kitchen market. Initially, two units from the Baridhara Fire Station arrived at the scene and started operations. Later, five additional units joined them, bringing the total to seven units working to control the fire.
So far, there is no confirmed information regarding the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage. Authorities said further details will be disclosed after a thorough investigation.
The incident caused temporary concern among nearby residents, but the situation returned to normal quickly due to the swift response of the fire service.
